2. Scope of These Terms

These Terms apply across Petra Nails Education and are intended to cover our professional education, advanced and practical training, online and digital education, mentoring and consultations, luxury nail appointments, assessments and certification, and physical products, kits or equipment supplied by us.

The description, price, dates, duration, included items and any service-specific conditions shown on the relevant page or confirmed to you before booking form part of the information on which your purchase is based. Service-specific terms should be read together with these Terms.

3. How Bookings and Contracts Are Formed

An enquiry, appointment request or course-selection form does not by itself necessarily create a confirmed booking. A booking becomes confirmed when Petra Nails Education accepts the booking and any required payment or deposit has been received, unless we expressly confirm another arrangement.

We may contact you before acceptance to confirm suitability, dates, package choices, products, appointment length or other practical details. We will provide or confirm the relevant price before you are committed to pay.

4. Prices and Payment

Prices are stated in pounds sterling. Petra Nails Education is currently operated as a sole-trader business and prices displayed by us are the prices payable unless we clearly state otherwise.

Where a price depends on selected products, supplier prices, appointment duration or other variables, the basis of calculation will be shown or explained before the booking is confirmed. Optional extras will not be added without the customer's agreement.

5. Complete Beginner Nail Technician Course

The Complete Beginner Nail Technician Course is a private practical education programme for students beginning their nail technician training. The programme is structured as five practical training days plus a separate Final Assessment & Certification day.

  • Day 1 – Professional Manicure & Foundations
  • Day 2 – Professional Gel Polish
  • Day 3 – Level 1 Electric File & Nail Extensions
  • Day 4 – Hard Gel & Salon Techniques
  • Day 5 – Infills, Rebalancing & Safe Removal
  • +1 Day – Final Assessment & Certification

The programme may also include home practice, case studies and student support as described on the course page. Successful completion of the applicable course and assessment requirements is required before a certificate is issued.

6. Beginner Course Training Fee

The standard training fee for the Complete Beginner Nail Technician Course is £649.00, whether the student selects the Complete Package or the Flexible Option.

Course elementAllocated training value
Day 1£129.80
Day 2£129.80
Day 3£129.80
Day 4£129.80
Day 5£129.80
+1 Final Assessment & CertificationIncluded at no additional charge
Total training fee£649.00

Products, kits and equipment are separate from the £649 training service for pricing, cancellation and refund purposes where appropriate.

7. Beginner Course Complete Package

The Complete Package is intended for students who require the full product and equipment setup described on the Beginner Course page. It combines the £649 training fee with the complete 24-piece Essential Kit offered at the time of booking.

The word “Recommended” describes the convenience of a complete setup for a beginner; it does not mean that the training is discounted or that the package is necessarily cheaper than selecting the same items through the Flexible Option.

Product prices may reflect current supplier prices. The applicable package total will be displayed or confirmed before the booking is completed.

8. Beginner Course Flexible Option

The Flexible Option combines the same £649 training fee with the required Must-Have products and any additional optional products or professional equipment actively selected by the student.

A student who does not select an optional item is responsible for bringing a suitable professional equivalent where that item is required for training. If all optional items are selected, the product selection is intended to correspond to the Complete Package based on the applicable prices at that time.

9. Beginner Course £150 Booking Deposit

A £150 booking deposit is required to secure the Beginner Course booking unless Petra confirms otherwise. The deposit forms part of the total package price and is not an additional charge.

The deposit is not described as automatically non-refundable in every circumstance. Any amount retained following cancellation will be determined in accordance with applicable statutory rights, the Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy, including the fairness and proportionality of any actual loss caused by the cancellation.

10. Beginner Course Remaining Balance

The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 48 hours before the scheduled start time of the first training day. Training cannot begin unless full payment has been received.

If payment has not been received by the deadline, Petra Nails Education may place the booking on hold and contact the student regarding the next available options. This does not remove any statutory consumer rights.

11. Advanced and Other In-Person Education

Advanced practical education and other future in-person courses may have different fees, durations, prerequisites, deposits, included products and assessment requirements. Those details will be shown on the relevant course page or confirmed before booking.

Unless a service-specific condition expressly states otherwise, the general cancellation, rescheduling, consumer-rights and fairness provisions in these Terms apply to those courses as well.

12. Online Education and Digital Content

Online programmes may include pre-recorded videos, downloadable materials, private online communities, live video sessions, case studies, assessments or other digital content and services. The exact format will be stated on the relevant course page.

Different statutory cancellation rules can apply to digital content and to services. Where qualifying digital content is to be supplied during an applicable cancellation period, we will obtain any legally required express consent and acknowledgement before immediate supply. Live teaching or assessment elements may be treated separately from digital content where the law requires.

13. Japanese Manicure Online Certification Programme

The Japanese Manicure Online Certification Programme is currently advertised at £120. Its published course description may include pre-recorded learning, student support, case studies, a live practical element and certification requirements.

The current course page and booking information will confirm the content and requirements applicable to the student's purchase. Payment alone does not guarantee certification; the stated completion and assessment requirements must be met.

14. Mentoring and Consultations

Petra Nails Education may offer 1:1 mentoring, consultations or development sessions online or in person. The session length, format, price and any booking conditions will be communicated before confirmation.

A consultation may be used to understand the customer's goals and identify an appropriate education or mentoring option. Unless expressly stated otherwise, a consultation does not guarantee acceptance onto a particular course or a particular commercial result.

15. Luxury Nail Appointments

Luxury nail appointments are private, appointment-only services. Time-based services, treatment suitability, nail condition, structure and design requirements are subject to consultation. Petra may recommend a different appointment length or service where reasonably necessary to provide the requested result safely and professionally.

The price and expected appointment duration will be shown or confirmed before the appointment. Additional work requested or agreed during the appointment may affect the final price where this has been explained and agreed.

16. New Client Nail Appointment Deposit

A £10 deposit is required for new-client nail appointments where stated at booking. It is applied towards the final service total.

If the appointment is changed or cancelled with at least 48 hours' notice, the £10 deposit may be transferred to another agreed appointment or refunded. With less than 48 hours' notice, or for a missed appointment, the deposit will normally be retained to reflect the reserved appointment time and resulting loss, but only to the extent that doing so is fair and lawful in the circumstances.

If Petra cancels the appointment and a suitable replacement cannot be agreed, the deposit will be refunded.

17. Appointment Timing, Lateness and Suitability

Customers should arrive on time and provide accurate information reasonably required to select a suitable nail service. If a customer arrives late, Petra may need to shorten or adapt the service to avoid affecting later appointments. Any charge or adjustment will be considered reasonably in light of the service actually provided and the circumstances.

Petra may decline or stop a service where proceeding would create a genuine health, safety or hygiene concern, where the requested treatment is not suitable, or where serious abusive or threatening behaviour occurs. Any payment consequences will be assessed fairly and will not automatically remove statutory rights.

18. Distance Bookings and Statutory Cancellation Rights

Where a qualifying consumer contract is entered into at a distance, such as online or by telephone, statutory cancellation rights may apply. For many service contracts the statutory cancellation period is 14 days from the day after the contract is entered into, subject to the applicable legal rules and exceptions.

These statutory rights are separate from any additional cancellation or rescheduling arrangements offered by Petra Nails Education. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict a statutory right.

19. Services Starting During a Statutory Cancellation Period

If a customer asks for a service to begin before an applicable statutory cancellation period has ended, Petra Nails Education may require an express request for early performance.

If the customer later exercises a valid statutory cancellation right after the requested service has begun, a proportionate amount may be payable for the service already supplied where the legal requirements for that charge have been satisfied. If a service is fully performed during the cancellation period, the right to cancel may end after full performance where the legally required request and acknowledgement have been obtained.

20. Student Cancellation and Withdrawal

Customers and students should contact Petra as soon as reasonably possible if they wish to cancel. The financial effect will depend on the service, timing, work already provided, products already supplied or committed, reasonable direct loss caused by cancellation and the opportunity to reduce that loss.

For the Beginner Course, the £129.80 per practical training day allocation may be used as a transparent reference when assessing training already provided, but it does not override any statutory calculation or remedy required by law.

21. Illness, Exceptional Circumstances and Rescheduling

For in-person education, genuine illness or an unexpected emergency should be reported as soon as reasonably possible. If a student may be contagious, they should not attend training.

For the Beginner Course, one complimentary reschedule will normally be offered for genuine illness or exceptional circumstances. Payments remain allocated to the rescheduled booking. Further requests are considered individually. Similar reasonable flexibility may be offered for other education services, subject to the service-specific booking terms and availability.

Detailed medical evidence is not routinely required for an ordinary short-term illness.

22. No-Show / Non-Attendance

A student or customer who does not attend a confirmed booking and has not contacted Petra in advance will be treated as a no-show. A no-show does not automatically qualify for a complimentary reschedule or refund.

For nail appointments, the new-client £10 deposit will normally be retained following a no-show, subject to fairness and statutory rights. For training or mentoring, any amount retained or any further arrangement will be assessed according to the circumstances and reasonable direct loss.

23. Cancellation or Rescheduling by Petra Nails Education

If Petra Nails Education needs to cancel or rearrange a booking because of illness, emergency or circumstances outside reasonable control, we will contact the customer as soon as reasonably possible and normally offer an alternative date.

There will be no rescheduling fee where Petra makes the change. If we cannot provide the agreed service within a reasonable period and no suitable alternative can be agreed, the customer may be entitled to a refund for the unprovided service. Where Petra cancels a booking entirely, a deposit will not be retained merely because it was described as a deposit.

24. Assessment, Certification and Course Outcomes

Students must satisfy the requirements stated for the relevant programme before a certificate is issued. Payment or attendance alone does not guarantee successful assessment or certification.

Unless expressly confirmed otherwise for a particular programme, a Petra Nails Education certificate confirms completion of Petra Nails Education training and assessment requirements. These Terms do not represent a certificate as a regulated qualification unless that status has been expressly confirmed for the particular course.

Training does not guarantee employment, income, business success or any particular commercial outcome.

25. Physical Products, Kits and Equipment

Physical goods supplied by Petra Nails Education are treated separately from training services where appropriate. Statutory rights relating to goods remain unaffected.

For qualifying distance sales, customers may have a statutory right to cancel an order for goods and return them within the applicable periods. Exceptions can apply, including to certain personalised goods and sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.

Faulty, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.

26. Supplier Pricing, Availability and Substitutions

Where a training package uses third-party products, live supplier prices and availability may change before a booking is confirmed. The applicable total will be displayed or communicated before the customer commits to pay.

If an included product becomes unavailable after confirmation, Petra will contact the customer where the change is material and may offer a suitable equivalent, wait for availability, adjust the package or provide another appropriate solution. A material substitution will not be imposed without appropriate consideration of the customer's rights.

27. Intellectual Property and Course Materials

Unless otherwise stated, original training materials, course documents, written content, videos, photographs, graphics and educational resources supplied by Petra Nails Education remain the intellectual property of Petra Nails Education or the relevant rights holder.

Materials supplied for personal learning may not be copied, reproduced, resold, distributed, uploaded publicly, shared with third parties or used to provide competing training without permission, except where permitted by law. Students remain free to use the skills and knowledge they learn in their own professional work.

28. Photographs, Student Work and Case Studies

Students may be required to submit photographs, case studies or practical evidence for assessment. Submission for assessment does not automatically give Petra Nails Education permission to publish identifiable material for advertising.

Where identifiable photographs, testimonials or student work are to be used for marketing, appropriate permission will be obtained where required.

29. Consumer Rights and Standard of Service

Petra Nails Education will provide consumer services with the standard required by applicable law, including reasonable care and skill. Where a service does not meet applicable statutory requirements, legal remedies may apply separately from an ordinary change-of-mind cancellation.

Nothing in these Terms removes or restricts statutory consumer rights.

30. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Petra Nails Education does not seek to exclude responsibility for losses that are a foreseeable consequence of its breach of contract or negligence where liability applies.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into, except where the law provides otherwise. Customers remain responsible for their own travel, accommodation and work arrangements unless Petra expressly agrees otherwise; however, this does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

31. Complaints

If you are unhappy with a course, appointment, mentoring service, product or booking, please contact Petra as soon as reasonably possible so the issue can be reviewed and, where appropriate, an opportunity can be given to put matters right.

Email: petra@petranailseducation.co.uk
Telephone / WhatsApp: +44 7435 047429

Making a complaint does not affect statutory rights or remedies.

32. Privacy and Personal Information

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Information may be processed to administer bookings, payments, education, assessments, nail appointments, customer support, records and legal obligations.

33. Changes to Courses, Services or Appointments

We may make reasonable minor changes where necessary to improve delivery, reflect updated professional practice, deal with product availability or respond to circumstances outside reasonable control. A change will not materially reduce the agreed service without appropriate consideration of the customer's rights.

Where a proposed change materially affects the agreed service, we will contact the customer and seek an appropriate solution.

34. Relationship With Other Policies

These Terms should be read together with our Cancellation Policy, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

If a policy or service-specific condition conflicts with a statutory consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, the statutory right takes priority.

35. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of England and Wales. Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of mandatory legal protections or rights concerning where proceedings may lawfully be brought.

36. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services, business practices or applicable law. The version applicable to a booking will normally be the version made available when the relevant contract was entered into. Later changes will not retrospectively remove rights that already apply.
